Casper Labs CL1000A-STC Adapter Only
- 1) The filter is in "free" space, permitting installation with tight engine to firewall clearance (that would otherwise be limited to an oil screen).
2) The filter is easily accessible without contortions or broken knuckles.
3) When it is time for filter changes, a prick punch in the top of the filter allows oil to drain back to the sump such that none is spilled during removal. No accessory case, lower cowl, or nose gear cleanup is required after filter removal.
Note: Verify the adapter and filter fit in the engine compartment before bolting the unit on to the case.

* Lycoming O-235 series engines may require an orifice plate in addition to the basic kit due to two different styles (Early or Late) configuration accessory housings as well as with/without the optional oil cooler. Check with Casper Labs for your specific application before ordering.
** This unit should fit all fabric fuselage Piper aircraft with a Lycoming listed engine (since they use a four point mount) unless previous modifications may cause interference.
*** Grumman AA-5A Tiger (Lycoming 180 HP) aircraft the Casper Labs oil filter adapter *** CAN NOT BE INSTALLED due to interference ***
This unit should work on all other models of Grumman aircraft with a Lycoming listed engine unless previous modifications may cause interference.
