Century HSI NSD360A-15 Non-Slv

The NSD is a 3-inch, lighted integrated navigation situation display instrument which com- bines the directional gyro, omni-bearing selector and VOR/LOC course deviation indicator in one panel space-saving unit. This map-like perspective greatly simplifies visualization of heading and course intercept/tracking. The heading selector gives fingertip command of the autopilot with the easy-reading heading bug. Separate meter movements control 'TO-FROM' and 'NAV' flags and 'barber-striped' flags provide conspicuous 'HDG' and 'NAV' unusable signal reception warning alerts. The glideslope indication is presented to the left of the compass card. When combined with the Century IV, 41, or 2000 autopilot or flight director systems the NSD has the additional feature of pilot commanded, variable angle radial intercepts. Optional slaving provides continuous magnetic slaving after its initial setting by the pilot. The built-in slaving monitor simplifies installation time and expense. Optional bootstrap amplifier provides bootstrap output for RMI (such as storm detection systems or moving map displays). The NSD series slaved or non-slaved HSI may be used with Century flight control systems and most General Aviation autopilots, or purchased as a stand alone system.
