MGL CHT Probe 6mm Spark Plug CHT-SPRK-6MM

These "under the sparkplug" CHT probes are popular choices for CHT temperature monitoring. Constructed using a two part system a copper lug and K-Type thermocouple cable with matching connector are supplied. Connector is thermally shielded by high temperature nylon sleeve (additional sleeving is recommended for high airflow applications that could result in undesired cooling of the probe itself).

Sizes to suit 10, 12, 14 and 18mm spark plugs plus a smaller version suitable for mounting under a bolt head (6mm hole, 12mm outer diameter).

Most automotive engines and Rotax two strokes use 14mm plugs, the Jabiru engines and Rotax 912/914 use 12mm plugs. Lycoming's and Continentals use 18mm plugs.

The probes are supplied with 1 meter of steel braided cable, heat resistant to 570 degrees F.

The cable can be disconnected from the rings to facilitate removal and fitting of spark plugs.
