Radiant Safealt Portable Altimeter / VSI Combo

SafeAlt is a Portable Altimeter designed for use by pilots and passengers to increase safety of flight in three scenarios.

For general aviation pilots, it provides a backup to panel-mounted altimeters and VSI gauges in an easy to use, USB rechargeable, portable device.

For corporate pilots in pressurized aircraft, it provides a visual and aural alarm if altitude de-pressurization occurs. This might save lives.

For passengers on commercial aircraft, it provides a visual and aural alarm if cabin altitude slowly exceeds a set value (indicating a failure of the aircraft to pressurize) or rapid decompression occurs (also indicating a pressure failure). Furthermore, it provides a reading of pressure altitude within the cabin, which is a proxy for flying comfort. The latest commercial aircraft designs have better, or lower, pressure altitude while flying.
