If youd prefer the next-level simplicity of an alternator without a belt, the SilverFlite SF301 might just be the alternator for you. Designed to mount on the vacuum pump accessory pad found on many Lycoming and Continental engines, the SF301 provides up to 30 Amps of output @ cruise RPM all in a compact 6.0 length.

Whats big about the SF301 is its feature-rich construction, with built-in regulation, built-in Dynamic Over-Voltage Protection (found only at B&C), field-replaceable shear section drive coupling, dual internal cooling fans, and sealed ball-bearings. It will clear the stock tach cable and oil filter adapter on most Lycoming engines and like other alternators in the SilverFlite series, the wiring is unusually straightforward: one wire for the output, and another for the control (enable) circuit, each with its own circuit protection. Intended for 14V Homebuilt aircraft, every SF301 is supplied with attachment hardware, pre-wired field connector assembly, and mounting gasket.
