Garmin GMA 350 Digital Audio Panel 6 Place Stereo
Note: Per Garmin we cannot sell the GMA 350 to certified aircraft. For experimental aircraft please fill out the wire harness form below.
The first truly all-digital audio panel, Garmins GMA 350 introduces a number of new technologies to the cockpit, including voice recognition, 3-D audio processing, advanced auto squelch and more.
Operate Hands Free
With built-in voice recognition, the GMA 350 helps decrease pilot workload. You can now operate your audio panel without taking your hands off the controls. To do something like switching between COMs, just press a dedicated push to command button on the flight controls and say MIC 1 or MIC 2.
Listen in Virtual 3-D
Advanced processing in the GMA 350 adjusts audio in the headset to mimic how the human ear normally hears and registers sounds in space. This 3-D Audio feature makes it seem as though different audio sources are coming from different directions around you. Now it's much easier to focus on and understand one particular source from among many. For example, COM 1 will seem to be coming from the left while COM 2 may seem to be coming from the right.
Distribute Audio Around the Cockpit
The GMA 350 makes in-flight entertainment easy. The system allows you to permanently wire up to two dedicated input sources into the rear connectors, like your XM® satellite music receiver and an auxiliary music device. A 3.5 mm jack on the front also provides easy access for portable audio devices like MP3 players or mobile phones. With the GMA 350s blue-select mode, the pilot can control which headset positions have access to which audio sources your passengers can enjoy music while you listen to radio communications or make private full-duplex telephone calls. The systems intuitive front panel layout features cursor control and volume indicator for easy operation.
Experience Advanced Auto Squelch and Automatic Volume Control
The auto squelch capability in the GMA 350 has been radically redesigned and automatically adapts to a quiet or noisy cockpit without clipping words or cutting out in the middle of phrases. An internal microphone also senses ambient noise and adjusts the cockpit speaker volume level accordingly. By analyzing the ambient noise level, the system can also adjust audio volumes for the headsets (when configured to do so at the time of installation). This means your system alerts won't be so loud while you're still on the ground.
Enjoy Advanced Features
A handy split COM mode allows the pilot and copilot to select independent frequencies to broadcast on. And should you ever miss an ATC call or frequency assignment, dont worry -- Garmins automatic digital voice recorder is also built in, which continuously captures the last 2.5 minutes of audio for playback.
