Tekton - Service Wrench Set With Modular Organizers 5-Piece (3/4 - 1 In.)

Ideal for Hydraulic Lines
The short handle of the service wrench improves access to hydraulic fittings in tight spaces where a regular combination wrench won't fit. The drive square at the end of the handle adds versatility when paired with a ratchet or a torque wrench.

Part of a System of Access Wrenches
Tekton service wrenches are short-handled, open end wrenches with a 15-degree angled head on one side and a drive square on the other. They complement our other access wrenches, including crowfoot, flare nut crowfoot, and angle head wrenches.
Service Wrench Design Features

A. Tapered Tips: A 10º lead-in taper on both of the tips helps the jaws fit over painted, dirty, or corroded fittings.
B. Tight Jaw Tolerances: Wrenches are cut from plate steel and then CNC milled on every surface, including the jaws. The final jaw tolerances are more exact than the ASME standards.
C. 15º Angled Head: The head is turned to a 15º angle, rather than the conventional 30º, to offer optimal access positions on a hex fitting.
D. Uniform Finish: The surface of the wrench is abrasive-blasted to create a smooth satin texture. The nickel finish is uniformly applied using an electroless plating process.
E. Strong, Well-Proportioned Handle: The non-tapered handle has a uniform thickness, a 45º outside chamfer, and a finger pocket on both sides for a more comfortable and secure grip.
F. Pommel: The pommel at the end of the handle keeps your hand from slipping off and is rounded for comfort.
G. Drive Square: The drive square can be used with a ratchet or other drive tools to increase access or leverage and apply specific torque. Four detent grooves secure the connection.
H. Engraved Torque Adapter Measurement: The distance between the center of the drive square and the center of the hex fastener is engraved on the handle for quick reference when using the wrench as a torque adapter.
Drive Square Capabilities and Secure Retention for Drive Tools
Detent holes on all four sides of the drive square give drive tools a secure hold in any position. Use a drive tool with a quick-release mechanism for optimal retention.

Torque to Specification
The center-to-center distance between the drive square and the hex opening is engraved on the handle for quick reference when using the service wrench as a torque adapter. Use our Torque Conversion Calculator to apply proper torque when the wrench is set to any angle other than 90º.
NOTE: The service wrench handle will not appear perpendicular to the torque wrench when properly set to 90º, as shown in the illustration.

Thin Jaw for More Access
Our service wrench jaws are much leaner than our standard combination wrenches, with 33% to 46% less jaw thickness (depending on the size). This provides better access in tight spaces and on thin fittings.

Tapered Tips
The tip of each jaw has a 10º lead-in taper that helps align the wrench with the hex flats when visibility is limited. The tapers also help the wrench fit over painted, dirty, or corroded fasteners and fittings.

4140 Steel, Satin Nickel Finish
We make our service wrenches from 4140 chromium molybdenum steel and harden them to 5053 HRC. The wrenches are abrasive-blasted to create a finely textured satin finish and then plated with corrosion-resistant nickel that is easy to wipe clean.

Uniform Coverage and Better Fit
Our electroless process applies a uniform nickel coating to the entire tool surface. By comparison, electroplating, including conventional chrome plating, has varying thickness across the tool based on the electric current density at each point on the tool.

Manufactured in Michigan
Our service wrenches are made entirely in the USA with USA-sourced materials. Machining, broaching, engraving, vibration polishing, abrasive blasting, and plating take place at our Grand Rapids, Michigan, manufacturing facility.

Space-Saving Wrench Organizers
The included modular wrench organizers hold each wrench in its own slot for a compact footprint in your tool drawer. The tapered shape of the slots holds wrenches upright at a slight angle with consistent spacing.
